An Honorable Dog
The GSD-L "Kish Award" was born out of a terrible tragedy when Kish, the beloved GSD companion of Kara Hollabaugh was tragically killed fending off 5 coyotes threatening Kara and their horses.
Kish gave her life to protect her beloved Kara and maintain the safety of the horses which were also in danger.
Criteria for GSD's receiving the Kish Award:
Preventing or stopping a crime
Preventing or stopping a violent act
Saving the life of a human or other animal
Dog must be owned by a list member of GSD-L
